512: Nick Stumbo | Pure Desire Ministries

On today's PoM Podcast episode I sat down with Nick Stumbo of Pure Desire Ministries. Nick, the executive director of Pure Desire, confronted his own porn addiction 15 years ago. He and his wife found healing through Pure Desire’s counseling and group ministries. Nick believes parents should create a safe place to have an ongoing, open-ended conversation with their kids about healthy sexuality rather than focusing on having a one-time conversation about sex. 

Even though fathers have one of the earliest and most trusted roles in a young person's life, the data shows that they play a much less significant role in the sexual education of their children — this is often because they are also dealing with their own sexual struggles and history.
